2015-end-of-year-book-survey

Here is the second half of my 2015 End of Year Book Survey! If you want to go back and read part one, be my guest
:D

book-blogging

1. New favourite blog you discovered in 2015?

I discovered some of my all time favourite blogs in 2015, which means this question IS REALLY  HARD to answer, but I’m going to go with Romi, Topaz, and Alyssa. These girls are some of my faves <3

2. Favourite review that you wrote in 2015?

Negative: this or this. Positive: this or this. I CHEAT, I KNOW. And you still love me.

3. Best discussion/non-review you had on your blog?

I liked this post on reading YA as an adult!

Somewhat irrelevant Colin Morgan GIF but are you really complaining?

4. Best event you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes etc.)?

I absolutely LOVED meeting Cassie Clare + Holly Black at their Love YA event, and also C.S. Pacat + Sarah J. Maas at Supanova!

5. Best moment of bookish/blogging life in 2015?

Hmm. I think meeting the lovely people I get to call friends now <3

6. Most challenging thing about your blogging or reading life this year?

Keeping up with everything. Which I have been TERRIBLE at lately. Uni was more intense than I thought it would be, and I let my blogging self bear the weight of that. :(

7. Most popular post this year on your blog?

This post about shipping sunken ships. I almost used it as my own pick for the question above about favourite discussions, so go you, readers! Great minds think alike ;)

8. Post you wished got a little more love?

Probably this one because I love Azael a bunch and I want everyone to be aware of how wonderful he is, PLUS the tunes I chose fit him perfectly.

9. Best bookish discovery (book related sites, bookstores etc.)?

Definitely Booko! I have used that site more than I should admit, because it lets you know where you can buy books for the cheapest amount! IT IS GLORIOUS. Go forth and use, fellow Australian book lovers!

10. Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?

I did, I did. You can read about them here!

1. One book you didn’t get to in 2015 but will make your number one priority in 2016?

When I copied over the version of this survey that I did back in 2013, my answer was The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare, so I’m ACTUALLY GOING TO TRY AND READ THEM IN 2016. I am so, so bad.

2. Book you are most anticipating for 2016 (non debut)?

OH GOOD LORD, THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT MY ANSWER IS THE RAVEN KING BY MAGGIE STIEFVATER. PYNCH. P Y N C H.

3. 2016 debut you are most anticipating?

I am really, really looking forward to If I Was Your Girl by Meredith Russo because a book about a transgirl written by a transwoman with a transgirl model on the front cover? PERFECTION ALREADY.

4. Series ending/a sequel you are most anticipating in 2016?

Well, obviously The Raven King fits this bill, as well. But I am super keen for The Winner’s Kiss, and also the fifth Throne of Glass book! (BUT THE RAVEN KING OMG)

5. One thing you hope to accomplish or do in your reading/blogging life in 2016?

Hmm. Get back on top of things re: blogging. Read 150 books next year. Make at least one third of those queer. Review all the queer books I read. Reach out to new bloggers (be they actually new or just new to me)!

6. A 2016 release you’ve already read and recommend to everyone?

Night Study by Maria V. Snyder! Are you surprised? The resident Maria V. Snyder fanatic is suggesting you read Maria V. Snyder.

  1. [tackle hugs you] Thank you so much for mentioning me, Chiara, especially amongst the other two lovely bloggers. That is so very kind of you, and it means the world that you thought of me. <3

In other news, I must pick up If I Was Your Girl!! That premise sounds beyond fantastic, and I just adore the overload of diversity. Absolutely can't wait to read it, once it's out.

  2. Prima says:

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INTRODUCING ME TO BOOKO OMG This is the best thing I’ve ever seen.

I need to find a copy of Magic Study and continue the series. It’s great to hear that it’s still amazing even at the 5th book. Sounds like you had a great year! So jealous that you got to meet all those amazing authors XD

    • Chiara says:

HOW GOOD IS IT? It has saved me so much money, haha XD

I hope you can find a copy! That series is still going so strong, and definitely worth continuing :D

It was so awesome meeting them *.*

  3. I feel like The Raven King has been on most people’s lists, ha! Totally absolutely excited for it, and I still haven’t read The Dream Thieves or Blue Lily, Lily Blue…!
