In an effort to share more of myself with you guys I created Books for Life. I talk about my life outside of this sanctuary called the blogosphere. Hopefully you guys like getting to know the girl behind the blog a little bit more.

I am officially a graduated university student!!!

I’ve been a student for 16 of my 21 years of life so far, and on Monday 15th December, I left university life behind. Although, not student life – but that’s a post for another day ;D

University was hectic. From those first few scary weeks/months/year following high school to the third year when I lost friends and travelled to the Great Barrier Reef and the Australian outback to this year full of procrastination, moaning, and hours of research – uni has been one helluva ride. But one that I am so glad I took, and wouldn’t take back for the world.

And now here I am, a graduate of Bachelor of Science Advanced with Class 1 Honours. Doesn’t that sounds pretty fabulous? I certainly think so ^.^ So much work was put into these four years of uni, and it feels excellent to have it all paid off.

On Monday I was reminiscing my primary (elementary for you US people) school graduation where I cried the entire day because I knew my whole life was going to change, and my high school (junior and high school combined for USers) graduation where I cried again but not as much because high school was kind of shit, but still. And then this graduation came upon me and I don’t really feel sad or anything. I kind of feel awesome, because it’s done and I have a Bachelor with First Class Honours and I’ll have that for the rest of my life.

Anyway. Enough with the sap, right? :D PICTURE TIMEEEEEEEE

Guys, I was so happy with my hair. I just told my hairdresser to do whatever she wanted, and this is what she came up with! I loooooooove it.

This was my first time in a graduation gown and cap, since we don’t have them in high school here (booo). It was so freaking heavy omg.

So there you have it. The ceremony itself was incredibly boring, and there were like 500 students graduating so there were a lot of names called. OH and the ceremony person said my name incorrectly. Kiara instead of Chiara. SIGH. I get it a lot, so I was actually expecting it but still. Now the video has my not-name on it, haha.

And because this post is being written on Tuesday, I AM OFF TO HAVE FOUR WISDOM TEETH OUT. Adios, amigos!

Congratulation! That’s a big step and a huge accomplishment. I remember feeling very proud of myself when I walked across the stage at my college graduation. I still have two more to attend (my Masters hooding and my Doctoral gowning). Here’s me with my fingers crossed and a prayer for my sanity. :) Congrats though, take time to soak up the accomplishment and try not to stress too much about the future!
