Artistry: A Spotlight on Erica Crouch
In my travels of the internet, I come across very talented people. Writers, photographers, painters, drawers, graphic designers. And when I find these artist’s beautiful work, I want to share it with as many people as possible. So that is why I have decided to create Artistry: A Spotlight. To showcase some of the art that I come across. I hope you enjoy these artists as much as I do.
Today, I am spotlighting the amazing Erica Crouch! Now, not only is Erica a crazy talented author (see Ignite and Entice), but she also designs book covers. Really gorgeous and beautiful book covers that I love with a passion.
First up are her own two covers of Ignite and Entice. These would probably have to be my favourite designs of Erica’s, and probably because I love this story to no end.
Now, these covers have changed a little bit – the font used for Erica’s name is now all spidery. But they’re beautiful with either font, in my opinion.
Erica has done some work on the other authors at her co-owned indie publishing house Patchwork Press (ermagerd, please, that name is too cute I cannot even), and they are really, really pretty. We have the Aberrant series by Ruth Silver, Orenda by Ruth Silver, A Grimm Legacy by Jana Jennings, and Canvas by Erica herself. There was another cover that I wanted to include that is uber pretty, but I couldn’t find the image anywhere. But you can tell from these covers here, that Erica has talent!
I must say I especially love the second row of covers. They all have such amazing vibes, and they definitely make me want to read the words inside them.
Erica is offering her cover designing services for amazingly affordable prices. If you’re looking for a cover designer, you can check out Erica’s conditions and prices here. I know I would definitely hire her if I was looking for a beautiful and eye-catching book cover design!
If you would like to get to know Erica better; here are some links: Twitter | Facebook | Blog | Goodreads Don’t be afraid to chat to her! Erica is incredibly nice, trust me.
Well, I hope you liked this week’s artist! Perhaps her beautiful covers have inspired you to read the books they were designed for. I have read and love almost all of the books in this post! ^.^
Until next time,
Thanks so much for the spotlight, Chiara! :D
You don’t need to thank me, Erica!
Oh my word! I could cry these are so beautiful! This also makes me very excited, which essentially means I have to finish any or all of my books to get this point.
I know, right! I love them all to pieces.
Like I said, I have read pretty much all of these novels and they are great ;D
I’ll have to find them then. I could order them online, but I like being in bookstores. Maybe the library might have them.
I like buying books from bookstores best of all, but with a lot of books, I have to buy them online because I live in Australia *grumbles*
Bummer! I just don’t have the money for it.
wow these covers are just beautiful. I see then all the time and I just love them too much
I know! I want to own them all. :D
I love when covers match – and match well for a series. The first two (Ignite and Entice) as well as the Aberrant series all work so well together! Great feature, Chiara.
I think they work well together, too! I am so excited for the final cover in the Ignite series to be released :D
Thank you, Kate!
No doubt it’s going to look amazing. I’m going to add it to my ever growing to read list!
I don’t doubt it! ^.^
Yay! I hope you like it as much as I do!
I had no idea she did this! Wow – she is totally amazingly talented! I guess it’s pretty much a sure thing that her third book will have a lovely cover too then!
I know, right! I want to own all of those covers, haha :D Yes, I am sure it will be gorgeous, as well!
What a neat feature! I’ve seen some of these covers around, but some of them are new to me. I especially love the covers for Orenda and Ignite. She’s crazy talented! And I totally love the name of her publishing house. So cute!
Thank you! ^.^
Ignite and Orenda are two of my favourites, as well. But I do love them all :D
I know, right! I love it to death, haha.
Huh. I didn’t know she designed all of those covers. I only knew about some of them. My favorite right now is Orenda though. It’s so so pretty! A Grimm Legacy reminds me a little of Tolkien’s LOTR or The Hobbit.
It’s awesome, right! :D
I do love the cover for Orenda – the colours are so pretty, and I love the who looking into the water thing.
I never noticed before, but it kind of does! It definitely gives off that fantasy vibe. :)
Ohgosh these have GOT to be some of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen! Especially the leftmost one at the bottom row, which just looks so magical <3 And of course I love the content to her books too :) She is definitely an amazing author and designer, and an amazing person to get to know as well :D
I KNOW. I am in love with them. I want ALL THE COVERS.
I love the magical ones, and I really hope they’re on TBD soon because I want to own them.
She is amazingly talented, right? :D
I love the cover of canvas!
Me, too! I love the old-school feel to it. :)
SHE DESIGNED HER OWN COVERS? WOW!! I am looking forward to her books. I have been dying to get my hands on them and hopefully, I’ll get them this year!
I love both her covers, the Entice dress is gorgeous! Where can I get it? :p
Out of the other 6 covers, I like Orenda the best! It just looks enchanting! *.*
YES! How amazing, right? :D Ah! Ignite is one of my all time favourite novels – I love it dearly! I hope you can read it soon.
I know, right – it’s so gorgeous!
I do so love the Orenda cover as well. It has such a nice fantasy vibe to it :D
