Books for Mail is basically me showcasing my addiction to buying books. Every two weeks, I’ll show you guys which books I have bought/received, and hopefully you’ll find some great titles!
In My Mailbox/Inbox:
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas: I bought the final copy because I reviewed an ARC, and I like having final copies of ARCs I love.
A History of Glitter and Blood by Hannah Moskowitz: HANNAH MOSKOWITZ, LGBT (I think) FAERIES. SO THERE. Thanks to Chronicle Books for this e-ARC!
The Rest of Just Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness: I like the sound of a book NOT from the ~special snowflake’s perspective. Thanks to Walker Books Australia for this ARC!
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven: After reading a lot of positive reviews, I decided to get this. Plus, it was only $9.60
Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat: LGBT fantasy + guaranteed sexy times. Bless.

Why I Chose It:
This quote just really struck out to me when I read Retribution. Because it’s true, and also kind of sad. Like, if you’ve seen the movie Maleficent, she didn’t start off ~evil~, and she didn’t really see herself as evil, either. I really liked this quote for its truth and sadness.

I hope you get to read all those books soon, Kyla! I can’t speak for The Rest of Us Just Live Here, but ACOTAR and the Mara Dyer books are definitely worth the read :D
I’m REALLY excited for The Rest of Us Just Live Here! Plus, the finished covers are apparently glow in the dark which is so cool. ACOTAR sounds great and I can’t wait to pick it up.

HOORAY FOR ACOTAR! I’m still crossing my fingers to win a hardcover of that since they don’t have it in our local bookstores yet.
And I read and LOVED A History of Glitter and Blood! But other people are disliking it so… D: It’s sort of LGBT… But it’s more like they don’t care about genders? I can’t really explain, but I did enjoy the messed up romance!

Oh, I didn’t know you were reading/had read the Mara Dyer books. What did you think? It’s a really bittersweet quote, to me, and I agree with how you align it with Maleficent (which I adored, I note- your thoughts?). It’s a pretty true kind of quote, that one.

I have read all the Mara Dyer books! I really liked them, although the last book was a bit disappointing *sigh*
Ohmygosh I LOVED Maleficent! I think it was executed in such a gorgeous way. And the cinematography was so beautiful *.*
I didn’t like All the Bright Places, so black sheep over here! And tell me if The Rest of Us is any good!
I swear people are either LOVING or HATING it, so I really want to see where I fall, haha.

I spy ACOTAR, I hope you do enjoy it :) All The Bright Places was cute.. but suicide books in YA bother me sometimes if not executed well. The concept was good though, but it didn’t work for me with the romance. Maybe you might like it more than me? Hope to read your thoughts on these books soon :) Happy reading!

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD.
You will read Captive Prince? ;D Well hello there, new best friend! *Clears throat* if you enjoy the book, that is. hehe It’s my second favorite series of all time and my favorite M/M series. Yes, there are some sexy times in book 1 but please keep in mind that they are only abundant in the SEQUEL! Also, a lot of harsh scenes.
Just saying’ so you don’t get disappointing :P But IT’S WORTH IT.

I definitely will! I’m actually starting today ^.^ And I will definitely keep in mind that the sexy times come in book #2 ;) All the more reason to read faster and get to the sequel!

That quote is amazing Chiara! I’ve always been fascinated with villains and antiheroes,and I agree totally with the saying.It’s sad-yes-and also beautiful because not a a lot of series give an insight to their villain’s true back story.

I wish there were more books about the villain’s backstory, to be honest. I think it’s an under-represented kind of story!
