I love movies just about as much as I love books, and I watch a lot of them each and every month. Movie of the Month is my way of sharing the best movie I saw each month with you, my lovely readers <3 I hope you find some awesome films to watch!

Movie of the Month: July

I had heard about Five Feet Apart because it was on a list that Epic Reads made about upcoming YA adaptations. Even though the book was written after the script so technically it isn’t a strict adaptation, but whatever. When I chose to watch this movie I had ZERO expectations. I haven’t seen either of the main actors in anything else, and I didn’t know anything about the story.

And then… I fell in goddamn love with this movie. I actually watched it again just the other day as a reward to myself for getting through a really long and slightly hellish week. I just wanted to see these damn cuties again and watch them fall in love again.

Five Feet Apart made me cry a lot of tears because… well, you’ll have to watch it to find out. I honestly just adored the three main characters – Stella, Will, and Poe. They are so special and they warm your heart. It almost feels weird to love this movie so much when it’s so damn sad but I couldn’t help it.

I am definitely going to try and find a copy of the book and hope to the book gods that it’s as good as the film because I would love to experience Stella and Will’s love story in another form.

I would usually do a one liner about why you should watch my movie of the month but I’m just going to leave it up to you because I don’t think I could summaries this film and do it justice.

So this is my top movies for the month of July! Have you seen it? Have I convinced you to give it a go? What was the best movie you watched in July?

Ta ta for now,

  1. Oh, I loved this one. I haven’t read the book version, but the movie was just lovely. Sad, but lovely. I thought the three main characters were amazing!!

It really was sad but totally lovely. I cannot wait to watch it again. I managed to buy a copy with the movie tie-in cover, which I don’t usually do but I couldn’t resist with this one!!
