books-for-life

Books for Life is where I share bookish lists, recommendations, and favourites. You can also catch me talking about non-bookish things here, as well as my life outside of blogging. Today I’m talking about…

my most anticipated book of 2020

I don’t think it’s any big secret that I absolutely adore The Diviners. When Before the Devil Breaks You was released in 2017 I reviewed it and then wrote an entire flailing post about how much I loved it because it was the best book I read in 2017. I have also reviewed the first and second books in the series. This series is just seriously incredible and if I haven’t convinced you to read it before now then I don’t quite know what is wrong with you because it is 100% worth every second it takes to read these beastly huge books.

So I think it goes without saying that my most anticipated book of 2020 is The King of Crows by Libba Bray, which is the fourth and final book in The Diviners series. I am not ready. I will never be ready. But ohmygod I have hardly ever needed a book so much in my life!!! Please, bookish gods, let me get this book as soon as possible. I need to know how my precious babes are and if they will all live and have their well deserved happily ever afters. God bless them, every one.

  1. I actually don’t know what would be my most anticipated book of 2020, to be honest. However, I definitely feel like I should get to know Libba Bray more. (I am going to finish two series by AA dhand and Khurrum Rahman but both are older series)

If you like historical books with paranormal elements and parallels to the modern day as well as some mystery thrown in then The Diviners is for you!

  2. Ooh yes, I’m excited for this one. Granted, I still need to read Before the Devil Breaks You but I LOVED the first two, and I own the third, so it will be happening as soon as I can so I can read The King of Crows. I’m so happy to hear you loved the third one though!!!

I feel like there are not nearly enough people excited about this one so I’m glad you are, Lauren! Before the Devil Breaks You is amazing and if you loved the first two I think you will love it as well :)

  3. Is this a bad time to admit I’ve not read this series? ???
They ARE huge books. But wow, now I feel a need to read them???
