Five Reasons To: Watch Heroes
Five Reasons To is basically my way of convincing you to love the same things I do. Because I love a lot of things for a lot of reasons. Hopefully my powers of persuasion will work their magic on you, and you can find new things to love!
Today, I am going to give you five reasons to:
Watch Heroes
1. Peter Petrelli
(source)
AKA ONE OF MY FAVOURITE CHARACTERS EVER. This soft boy is everything to me. He just wants to be good and save the world. Peter is… perfection. Like, I don’t even know what else to say except I love him? And he deserves every good and precious thing in this world? PETER FUCKING PETRELLI, DAMMIT.
2. Hiro Nakamura
(source)
Hiro is pretty much the cutest character I have ever seen on a show. He’s so innocent and lovely, and (like Peter) wants to save the world. This master of time and space is one of the reasons I love Heroes so much. He’s a much needed source of light in an otherwise pretty dark show. Also in love with his best friend, Ando (okay it’s not canon but I SHIP IT).
3. Zachary Quinto
(source)
The acting skills of this man in Heroes are AMAZING. His character goes through so many revelations, and is so different in alternate timelines. I am just kind of in awe of how brilliant he is. Quinto’s character is extremely compelling, and someone you know you should probably hate but you just can’t because there’s potential for him to be so much more. (Soft Dad Gabriel is my fave.)
4. The First Season
(source)
The first season of Heroes is one of my favourite seasons of any show – ever. It was just so incredibly amazing. There were so many little subplots, and even though it was confusing at times the complexity was enjoyable in a kind of woah way (if that even makes sense). Seeing how all the different characters in all these different places came together was so intriguing. I loved getting to know these amazing characters who I couldn’t help but fall in love with. I know I’ll be rewatching the first season (and probably the rest, too) in the future.
5. The Relationships
(source)
I 100% did not cry over Noah and Claire Bennett’s father/daughter relationship. At all.
…
Okay, I cried over Noah and Claire Bennett’s relationship. But that’s because it’s BEAUTIFUL and SPECIAL and I’ve never seen a father love his daughter as much as Noah loves Claire. It’s not perfect love but gosh darn this man is willing to do anything for his daughter.
The other relationships, like that between Hiro and Ando, Peter and his brother Nathan (season three Nathan doesn’t exist lol), and pretty much every other positive relationship in the show are gorgeous, as well. I also love the relationships between the group of heroes as a whole. FOUND FAMILIES. <3
So these are five reasons for you to watch Heroes! I love this show a lot, and I hope I’ve convinced you to give it a try.
Ta ta for now,
SAVE THE CHEERLEADER SAVE THE WORLD
HIRO IS THE BEST HE IS TOO PURE TOO GOOD BUT I LOVE THE WHOLE SHOW REALLY I NEED TO REWATCH IT RIGHT NOW
DON’T EVEN START – IT’S MAKING ME EMOTIONAL ALREADY
AND YES YOU REALLY DO IT’S SO WORTH IT
I really really like watching this show when I was younger, with Claire, Hiro, and the main villain being my favorite, but it’s been so long that I forgot what is it about or who they are :( I only know there’s some girl that has fire power, Hiro can travel through time and has something to do with painting?? And I think Quinto’s character is the villain that can take other people’s powers?? Oh and also there’s this girl that can heal (I think it’s Claire? I forgot). I really need to do a rewatch!
You definitely need a rewatch! Claire is the one with healing powers, Hiro can travel through time, and Isaac paints the future! Quinto’s character is Sylar :D
I’ve never watched Heroes, but I think my sister did when it was originally on. I love that there are so many great characters and relationships. :)
It’s so good, Lauren! If you’re every stuck choosing what show to watch next I highly recommend it :D The characters and relationships are just one amazing aspect!
I’ve never watched Heroes, but I’ve heard great things about the show. It was really popular right before I started getting into watch TV, but it seems like a show I’d really enjoy!
I highly recommend it, Amanda! I remember when it was popular but I never got around to watching it until this year – and I absolutely fell in love :D
Hm, I actually don’t think I’ve ever heard of this show (which is rather odd for me, as I consider myself quite good at keeping up with all the shenanigans on television – if not actually making the time to watch them!). Is this by chance an older one? Do you know whether it’s finished yet, if so? I’d love to give it a watch – those characters sound absolutely gorgeous & a joy to hang out with <3
Heroes is in fact an older show! It started in 2006 and went until 2010 :) I think you might fall in love with this show, Topaz! It is so much about being human and all that entails, and the characters are incredible <3
I loved Heroes, it was such an amazing tv series! Sylar was a great complex villain and that made his character so interesting to watch. There were so many character/plot threads of this show and I loved theorising on what was going to happen next after each episode. :)
Yay! I’m glad you liked it, Kyla :D There were so many times where they teased us that Sylar could turn out to be a good guy after all, and knowing he had it in him made his story all the more interesting. I don’t know how the writers kept all the threads in their heads all the time!
