Simply Sunday is a reading meme run here at Books for a Delicate Eternity. It’s where you can share your favourite quote of the week; be it from a book, a novella, a short story, a poem – whatever you like!
My Simple Thing:
“He was a book, and he was holding his final pages, and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went, and he didn’t want it to be over.”
A quote from Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven King).
Why I Chose It:
I will never not be over The Raven King. I pretty much could have highlighted the whole book because there was just so many beautiful lines, and beautiful passages.
I especially liked this one, though, because it has a bookish/reading theme, which I always love. And I totally related to it. Not so much that I am holding the book of my own life but rather the feeling of wanting to know how things end (especially books), but also not wanting those things to ever finish (especially books). This quote was just so incredibly gorgeous, and full of beautiful imagery. I could not resist sharing it with you all! What do you think of my Simply Sunday?
