In my travels of the internet, I come across very talented people. Writers, photographers, painters, drawers, graphic designers. And when I find these artist’s beautiful work, I want to share it with as many people as possible. So that is why I decided to create Artistry: A Spotlight. To showcase some of the art that I come across. I hope you enjoy these artists as much as I do.

For my Artistry post today, I am spotlighting the lovely Hazel of Stay Bookish. Hazel recently started her own blog design shop, and I have been smitten with what I’ve seen so far, so I thought I might as well show you just how talented she is! So, here we go:

This is Hazel’s own blog design, and I must say I am more than a little in love with it! Blue is my favourite colour, so straight away this design appeals to me. The font for the title is absolutely gorgeous, I am a fan of the little pink accents here and there, the books at the top and bottom of the page are fabulous, and I adore the silhouette of the girl reading on the chair. This design is definitely one of my all time favourites.

There are two things that I really adore about this design and they are the background for quotes, and Hazel’s signature:

Aren’t they just gorgeous? I love the little motif within the quote background and the gradual change of text colour of Hazel’s signature is beautiful.

As I mentioned before, Hazel creates unique designs for blogs – here are some of her final products:

Can I just say WOW? They’re all different and unique! I absolutely love the middle one and its utterly vintage feel. And birdcages. I love birdcages with a passion.

Hazel’s design prices are ridiculously good and you can request anything from a full to design to a button, a signature, and even contact cards. If you want to check out all her options, please click here.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these designs, because I sure did. Please check out Hazel’s social media, because she is incredibly lovely: BlogTwitterTumblrGoodreads

Until next time,

  1. Absolutely gorgeous! I absolutely love Hazel’s designs – well, I did choose her as my designer for my own blog, so of course I do! There’s so many talented designers out there these days. :)

I am so very excited to see what you two come up with, Ebony! :D

There are a lot of amazing designers out there, and I am always a bit in awe because I have practically zero computer skills, haha :P

  2. Oh wow, these are all SOO SOOOOOO pretty! If I ever move over to self-hosted wordpress, I’ll definitely go to Hazel (it’s so afforable as well!). I’m a sucker for pretty fonts. I’d love to see some of them on book covers, even :)

    • Chiara says:

They really are! :D I love how affordable it is, as well. And helping out a fellow book blogger is always a plus!

Oh fonts are one of my (many) weaknesses. I love the font for her own site, and the Birds for Books!

  3. I really want to get a new design soon. I’ll have to keep Hazel in mind, these are gorgeous!

  4. Annie says:

I love Hazel’s blog! She really is so talented. I think her header might be my favourite thing ever. And I didn’t even know that she had other designs made! They’re all so gorgeous, not surprisingly. And I love the fonts she chose! And the colours! And everything!!

Really great idea and I can’t wait to see more of these posts! I have no talent in my bones but I love seeing what other people manage to create!

    • Chiara says:

Me, too! :D Her header is absolutely lovely, right? I’m glad to have let you know then, Annie! I think her designs are pretty fabulous, haha. Yes, the fonts are gorgeous! I am somewhat of a font lover.

Thanks! I hope to have more of these up on the blog more often, since I love showcasing talent :D

  5. Hazel’s design is so pretty. Blue is one of my favorite colors too, so it’s always nice to go to her blog :)

  6. CHIARA. Seriously can’t thank you enough for kindly spotlighting me and my designs on your blog! I’m honestly an amateur but yours and everyone else’s support really gave me enough confidence to pursue my design business! It’s going greater than I ever expected- I even got more orders this month and I probably owe that to you. ;)

Thank you for all the sweet things you said about my designs! It makes me so happy you like them! Hopefully, I’ll do much better and create a design as beautiful as the one you have. (Mitchii’s designs are totally an inspiration for me!) I obviously have to work on my coding skills though because my search bar is acting funny in that print screen of my site hahaha! :)

    • Chiara says:

That’s okay, lovely! I’m so glad that your business is doing well – you definitely deserve it ^.^

No problem – all of them are true :D Your designs really are lovely. I know what you mean about Mitchii – she is a design goddess, haha XD
