sunday

Simply Sunday is a reading meme run here at Books for a Delicate Eternity. It’s where you can share your favourite quote of the week; be it from a book, a novella, a short story, a poem – whatever you like!

My Simple Thing:

“Love isn’t a period. It’s a semi-colon.”

A quote from Hannah Moskowitz & Kat Helgeson (Gena/Finn).

Why I Chose It:

Well, for one: it is absolutely gorgeous. And two: I absolutely love it. I really like the general feel of it, and it’s amazing that the quote is only seven words, and yet speaks volumes. Love isn’t a period. It doesn’t start and then stop. Love continues and pauses. Also, huge plus points for working grammar into love. My writer hold was sold on that one from the start.

Psst, if you’re interested in winning a Hannah Moskowitz book, head over to my writer blog!

What do you think of my Simply Sunday? Have you read any quotes you’ve loved recently?

  1. I love finding book quotes that I just adore. This is a great one. It really stood out to me as well. I’m hoping to review Gena/Finn this week!

  2. I’ve honestly never thought about this, but ahhh, I love the quote. SO TRUE. And so nicely written, like, omg, I dream of being able to write such poignant things so concisely and meaningfully. :”)
Recently I’ve been adoring this quote: ““Genius is more often found in a cracked pot than in a whole one.” E.B. White

I’m so glad you liked it, Cait! I feel the same way. I want to be quotable, haha XD

Ooo, I like that quote a lot! So many geniuses in history have been eccentric people, and I really love the way that quote emphasises that. Thank you for sharing :D <3
