mail

Books for Mail is basically me showcasing my addiction to buying books. Every two weeks, I’ll show you guys which books I have bought/received, and hopefully you’ll find some great titles!

Only one book this week! I don’t know what’s happened to me.

In My Mailbox:

gracefully grayson by ami polonsky

Gracefully Grayson by Ami Polonsky: I read an interview with the author over at Gay YA, and I really love the sound of the story, so I simply could not resist!

sunday

Simply Sunday is a reading meme run here at Books for a Delicate Eternity. It’s where you can share your favourite quote of the week; be it from a book, a novella, a short story, a poem, a song – whatever you like!

My Simple Thing:

“I bet you could sometimes find all the mysteries of the universe in someone’s hand.”

A quote from  Benjamin Alire Sáenz (Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe).

Why I Chose It:

This is just one of the MANY lines in Ari and Dante that I adored to no end. I think hands are beautiful, and the way the author describes finding the mysteries of the universe in someone’s hand just totally got to me. I love it. And I love this book.

What books did you receive in the mail recently? What do you think of my Simply Sunday?

  1. Ohhh this makes me want to read A&D again, those two beautiful, beautiful boys <3 Love the cover for Gracefully Grayson as well!

  2. That quote is just beautiful…actually, the entirety of A&D is. <3

  3. LOOOOVE THAT QUOTE! I really need to pick up Aristotle & Dante soon! <3

  4. I haven’t heard of Gracefully Grayson yet, so I look forward to seeing what you think of it. :D And I absolutely love the quote you’ve chosen – so exquisite and beautifully written! Thanks for sharing Chiara! ♥

  5. That cover!!! It’s so simple, but you can automatically tell what it’s about. Love it!
I’m super excited to read Aristotle & Dante! Nice quote :)

  6. Megan says:

All these simple but adorable contemporary covers — I just want to gather them all and HUG THEM TO DEATH. Gracefully Grayson sounds amazing, too! I don’t think I’ve ever read a fully gay YA contemporary, but I’ve been meaning to, so hopefully I’ll get the chance to read one soon. Crossing my fingers that this one lives up to your expectations! :D

Usually beautiful prose doesn’t hold much weight with me, but that quote is gorgeous. I love it. Which means I should go read Aristotle & Dante asap. (I really can’t keep up with all these books, man.)

Have a lovely Sunday, Chiara! <3

Aren’t they just gorgeous? I love owning them so I can look at them all the time :D I hope you do get around to reading one, Meg! LGBT YA is pretty much my favourite genre. I hope this one lives up to my expectations, too!

It’s practically impossible to keep up with all the books being released, right? But Ari & Dante is seriously beautiful, so I urge you to read it!

  7. I’ve actually never heard of that book but I’m scurrying off to GR right now!

AND THAT QUOTE IS BEAUTIFUL. Can you believe that I haven’t read A&D yet? If those are the lines that I’m in for then I need to get on it asap!

  8. Sarah J. says:

I really love that cover it’s so simplistic and eye catching. I need to read Ari and Dante. I wasn’t tempted to read it until recently but it sounds pretty awesome and everyone raves about it.

    • Chiara says:

I love the cover, too, and I have to admit it was the first thing that had me interested in the book! It’s even prettier in physical form.

Ari & Dante is a really special book, so if you’re interested, I’d definitely suggest giving it a go, Sarah!

  9. I just finished Aristotle and Dante a few weeks ago. MY HEART WITH THAT QUOTE *dead*

Looking forward to your thoughts on Gracefully Grayson – I almost requested it but decided not to in the end.

  10. The entire of Ari And Dante is SO quotable, right?! But I particularly love that one. It’s so beautiful. AHH, how come some authors just write so darn beautifully? *swoons*
I’ve heard of Gracefully Grayson! Is it MG? I’m curious about it!

    • Chiara says:

Uhm, yes. I loved every word of Ari & Dante! And this quote was definitely one of my all time favourites.

Yeah, Gracefully Grayson is MG, which I think is fantastic!
